Workplace Investigations

As a trauma-informed investigator, I investigate incidents of workplace bullying, harassment, discrimination, and misconduct with the utmost care and consideration. My role is to make findings whether the Employer’s policy or the law has been violated.


I have conducted investigations in both Canada and the United States in both public and private workplaces, and interviewed witnesses who were in Europe and Asia as well. I have also conducted interviews through translation - including Cantonese, Farsi and Mandarin - languages which I do not personally speak - with verified transcripts.


I believe that there should be no barriers to having a solid understanding of workplace disputes, and I work tirelessly on each investigation to produce a comprehensive report. The workplace is no place for harassment, bullying, or discrimination and a thorough investigation can be the best way to ensure that such issues are dealt with quickly and do not persist in the future.


Workplace Mediations or Facilitated Discussions

What happens when something goes wrong with an employee…but you do not want to let them go? Or when there is a dispute between employees that does rise to the level of harassment?


I conduct facilitated discussions that can act as a form of relationship counselling in the workplace. The most rewarding experience I have in dispute resolution is when I see employees continue working and communicating positively together.


Workplace Reviews

Your workplace is likely equipped with sensitive smoke detectors. That is because if there is smoke, it is usually a sign of trouble, and you can deal with it quickly before a much larger fire breaks out. When there’s a first sign of trouble that gets left unattended, it usually means that much greater trouble will still follow.


A workplace environmental scan helps you monitor those ‘signs of smoke’ in your workplace. What are some of the issues that may be happening in your workplace that you don’t even notice?


If you notice that your team is disengaged, dissatisfied, or disenchanted, I would be happy to discuss a workplace scan. A scan can look at everything - in order to properly diagnose problems and suggest workable solutions.
